If you are interested in tracking this down (and I certainly hope you
are), I'd try and see if the lispm object gets correctly allocated and
initialized in main().  I should not be at all surprised if this is an
"I don't have enough memory" failure, which we should handle in a more,
uh, graceful fashion.  If you let me know whether that's it, I can hack
the sources here to cause the same error and write some error-catching
stuff...
