My apologies to Mr. Parker and Mr. Swindells for confusing the source of 
Mr. Parker's satement

Although I haven't had any contact with Mr. Shmidt, I must admire him for 
sticking with Symbolics.
I have only a vague sense of A.T.'s intentions, but I did get the strong 
impression that he is in no way interested in
letting anyone contract to port OpenGenera to other platforms, with payment 
being in licences to use the finished product.
If you are a government contractor, you may have a better chance of getting 
the attention of Symbolics.
